Azal had a very successful in hand career before going to Legacy Stud, where he was purchased by Alison Rose, to be backed and produced under saddle by Fiona for the 2007 season.

He proved, as we all suspected, to be an outstanding ridden prospect, was unbeaten as a Novice, took the overall ridden supreme at the N. West AHS C Show and was 2nd in his first open class at the UKIAHS.
